Spread Axle Drop Frame ISO Tank Chassis
The attraction to this tank chassis is inevitable. Every detail precisely engineered from the sweeping curves to the circular welds. Notice the lack of right angles. The low frame height of 41. 5 in (at container) helps prevent roll over. Not to mention the different web depths throughout the main beams. And at a tare weight 7400 lb, it is lightweight for a 43 ft long chassis. Designed to handle a 20 ft ISO tank container (ISO tank), a 20 ft ISO dry freight container, or a Conex box at the rear of drop.
Drop Frame chassis is designed and built according to Association of American Railroads (AAR), Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), International Standards Organization (ISO), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Department of Transportation (DOT), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) standards.
Low profile tires on 10-hole hub piloted disc wheels, spring suspension, ABS, plastic fenders, and two-speed landing legs are all standard. The chassis is lift ready with lift kit optional. Other options include step deck, aluminum wheels and hubs, and air ride.
