20-40 Foot Tandem Axle City Chassis
No slider bogey on this chassis but don’t let the telescopic frame fool you. At a GVWR of 58,500 lb for the 20 ft container and 65,000 lb for the 40 ft one, this extendable tandem chassis packs some muscle too. Sliding movement via telescopic action of main frame behind landing gear and locking pins ensure positive engagement. Closed position for loading/unloading and road transport of 20ft container. The 40 ft container is handled with chassis in the extended position. Overall lengths are: 29 foot 7 inches and 40 foot 6 inches respectively.
Chassis is designed and built according to Association of American Railroads (AAR), Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), International Standards Organization (ISO), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Department of Transportation (DOT), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) standards.
The container chassis frame and main fabricated parts are made from high strength steel. Some of the standard components include 10x20 tires on 5 spoke wheels, spring suspension, antilock braking system (ABS), and two-speed landing legs. Several options to choose from.
Chassis can be stacked up to 4 high for power only transport.
